Feng-Shui means Wind and Water. An ancient Chinese art originated from Indian Buddhism, Feng-Shui suggests the ideal placement of furniture or objects to create balance in one's living space and thereby in life. Feng-shui is also the study of time, space, and people. It is a description about how "chi", the energy of the life force according to Chinese, flows around us and influences our lives. The practice of "Feng-shui" is to achieve the optimum balance and harmony through the location and orientation of the living environment.

The Five elements of Energy                          Back

Feng shui uses the five elements of Chinese traditional system. They are FIRE, EARTH, METAL, WATER and WOOD. This is the cyclic procedure of feng shui. In the cycle of production each element helps and nurtures the element on either side of it.
For instance wood burns, creating fire. Fire gives ash, which create Earth.
From the Earth we get Metal. Metal liquefies water and Water nurtures and produces wood.

The Living Room                                                    Back

This is the room that where the people can relax and enjoy spending more time with the other people.
This room should reflect the personalities and ideas of the people. this room have to receive more and more sunlight and wind flow.
Avoid crowding, too much furniture and more and more shelves in this room. The open shelves and little space leads to abundance and controls the monetary gains.

The Bed Room

Good feng shui in the bed room is very important for peaceful mind with Happy life. After the living room, we spends our lives in bed room. This room will be private and personal, should be as far away from the front door. The placement of the bed is the important point in the concept of feng shui. So your bed should be placed near the corner of the room that is diagonally cross from the door. The bed should always in a position to where the people sleeping in will get a pleasant view, when they wake up in the morning.

The Kitchen                                                         Back

The Kitchen, the stove which deals with the fire that represents family's wealth. So Keep the stove far away to the sink.
Kitchen should not be visible from the front door and the Kitchen that faces the toilet causes bad health and loss of prosperity luck.

The Bath Room

The toilet should not be visible from the front door. The bathrooms should be posited on the side of the house, because bathrooms create negative ch'i, and a centrally situated toilet will send this negative ch'i to every part of the house.
