Get Moving! How to Find Motivation
To Exercise
The link between exercise and improved
physical health has been well documented. Studies have
shown that exercising regularly decreases the risk of
cardiovascular disease, reduces blood pressure, assists
weight management and results in mood improvement and
decreased mortality rates. Physical activity also
reduces the risk of developing diabetes and some forms
of cancer, promotes healthy muscles, bones and joints,
and helps maintain functions. Despite being aware of all
this, some of us still find it difficult to muster up
the motivation to exercise.
While the ‘high’ that we feel
after exercising is wonderful and the healthy glow we
get after a work out is marvelous, it can still be hard
to find the motivation to exercise as regularly as we
need to. Other things get in the way – work,
relationships, responsibilities – and it is all too
easy to tell ourselves that we will exercise
‘tomorrow’. Of course, ‘tomorrow’ never comes
and that date with the treadmill never materializes,
either, leaving us ever more demoralized and feeling
that we have left it too late; that no matter what we do
now it will never be enough. So the whole area of
exercise gets neglected and we feel guilty about how
little we work out.
If finding the motivation to exercise
is proving difficult for you, why not let hypnosis help?
Proven to be effective with people of all ages and from
all backgrounds, it will help you develop a true desire
to exercise, despite cultural pressures that prevent
activity.
